The team at Bear Rock Electric is proud to be sponsoring the 17th Annual Walk for Our Stars for the Cedar Lane School on Saturday, April 26, 2014. Their non-competitive walk-run-stroll begins at 10 am at the Maple Lawn Community Center—7600 Maple Lawn Blvd. Fulton, MD.
Fundraising is achieved through individual and family registration along with business sponsorship. The Cedar Lane PTA welcomes all who attend to enjoy the day outdoors; to show your support for our students and staff; and see firsthand why your support is so very important! After the two-mile walk we will meet back at the community center for refreshments provided by Cedar Lane School PTA.

With BRE’s support and other generous sponsors …
All money raised will be used to support their students with significant special needs and their staff. Funds will go towards the purchase of specialized equipment, expand the school’s cultural arts program, increase the number of student field trips, and provide staff development opportunities beyond what is provided by the county.
Cedar Lane School helps students’ develop speech, language and communication skills using a variety of tools. Technological advances have opened the world to everyone, and our students are benefiting with the use of technology as well.
Our devices need to be adapted or special ordered. The PTA has been able to purchase touch screens for all of the classroom computers, allowing students to read books or play educational games with subscriptions for school wide internet programs. iPads have taken the place of augmentative and alternative communication devices. The PTA has purchased activation switches for iPads, protection cases (well needed), and specialized Apps.
